MnM Golf League 2020 Protocols

Announcements: There will be no announcements before or after golf. Check the League website (mnmgolfleague.com) for news.
Distancing: Adhere to safe social distancing guidelines before, during, and after play.
Only One Person On The Tee: Only (1) person on the tee at a time. All others stay off the tee until theperson has left the tee box.
Greens & Putting: Cup will have a foam insert for easy ball removal. On the green, common sense and good communication should prevail to maximize distancing from others.
Flagstick: The pin will remain in the hole. Do not touch the flagstick or cup.
Sandtraps: ‘Preferred Lie’ in sand traps. Player can improve sand location & conditions, as needed,and take a free drop.
Handling Own Equipment: Each member should only touch his own equipment. Refrain fromhandling or marking another person’s ball, as well as, picking up and handing clubs to another person.
Scoring Procedures: One person will manage the scorecard. This will include recording the scoreslegibly, tallying points & scores, and texting a picture of the scorecard to Tom Piehl at 231 941-7575.
There will be no sheet to pass around to tally points and scores. Tom will tally scores and keep photographic record of cards. An updated weekly sheet will be posted on League website with current handicaps.
Prizes: There will be no prizes at start of league play. Prizes may be implemented later on in season.
12 out of 14 Rounds – Proposal: (Passed by league vote on 5-12-2020)L Out of the 14 rounds prior to the playoff, only the best 12 rounds (i.e., highest points) will be counted. Consequently, the two lowest point totals will be dropped. Assigning 2.5 points for the first missed round will be eliminated for 2020.

In these difficult times we are all aware of social distancingprotocols, nevertheless we each have our own interpretation of those safeguards. It is imperative that each of us understand and respect the standard of another throughout league play.Reminders or explanations may occur and should not be interpreted as personal attacks.
